Try to provide me with as many photos as you can, so I can select those that fit together well. In this case, since the dogs are black and white, the lightest and darkest tones in the painting are both found in the subjects themselves. I therefore chose to keep the background generally to a medium tone, becoming a little lighter or darker to emphasise the subjects as appropriate.
